Lennart Behme
Hey, I’m Lennart – a final-year PhD candidate at TU Berlin and the BIFOLD Graduate School, working with Prof. Volker Markl. My research focuses on the intersection of data management and machine learning, exploring ways to accelerate end-to-end machine learning pipelines and extend machine learning to new applications.
Prior to my PhD, I completed a Master’s in Information Systems at TU Berlin, specializing in data science and engineering. I started my academic journey with a joint focus on computer science and business administration, including a year on the board of a student consultancy. A gap year internship at Bosch ignited my passion for data management research, motivating me to pursue a PhD. I am excited about solving both foundational and applied data-intensive problems, aiming to generate actionable insights. With experience spanning both business and technical roles, I combine strong communication, project management, and leadership skills with profound technical expertise and a passion for data.
My continuous drive to learn has been a key factor in advancing both my academic and professional career. Along with a genuine curiosity on a broad range of subjects and rapid comprehension, I have fostered a deep understanding of the topics I have been in touch with. More importantly, I look forward to new skills to acquire and opportunities to explore.
